Barbara Jean Lamb

Barbara Jean Schwab Lamb, 92, was born on December 13, 1928 and passed on September 1, 2020. Her husband, Robert Lamb, preceded her in death. Together they had 11 children and this family grew to give Barb and Bob 22 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren. Barb is survived by her younger brother, Robert Schwab and two sisters-in-law, Janet Schwab and Shirley Lamb Williams. Barb was born in Terre Haute, IN and moved to Peoria, IL as a young girl. It was there where she met her future husband at a church youth group. After marriage she and Bob moved first to Williams Bay, and then Delavan. While raising her large family, she worked part time at Lake Lawn Lodge and The Village restaurant. After retirement she and Bob moved to Largo, FL where she gained notoriety as the Bingo Queen. After moving back north, she was a resident for many years at Williams Bay Care Center. She loved going for drives around the lake and remincing about the good old days. The family wishes to express their gratitude to staff at North Shore Health (formerly Williams Bay Care Center) and Allay Hospice for their many years of loving care. There will be a Celebration of Life at a latter date when all can safely travel Betzer Family Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Service Details.
