Barbara Mae 'Barb' Sullivan

Barbara Mae Sullivan, 80, of Delavan Lake died peacefully at her lake home on Wednesday, May 26, 2016 surrounded by her family. Barb was born June 15, 1935 in Rockville, Indiana the daughter of Harold Lee Rooksberry and Ruby Faye Turner. She worked at the St. Ambrose College Library in Dubuque, Iowa where she met and later married Robert Emmett Sullivan. Robert predeceased her on June 13, 2006. Barb traveled the world with her family, following her husband's job assignments with John Deere International and J.I. Case. Barb was a devoted member of St. Andrews Catholic Church. She was an active member of the Democratic Party, and was also a member of the D.A.R. and former President and member of Friends of the Aram Public Library. Barb belonged to the Delavan Service League and was a proud member of the Delavan Township Police and Water Safety Committee for three terms. She is survived by her beloved cat, J.D. Malloy; 3 children, Michael (Deanna) Sullivan of Rochester, IL , Colleen (James) Atterbury of Springfield, IL, and Timothy (Jonell) Sullivan of Pleasant Prairie, WI; 1 sister, Cynthia (Marvin) Fiedler of Phoenix, AZ.; and 7 grandchildren Ian, Niall, Lochlan, Emmett, and Connor Sullivan and Kaitlin and Daniel Atterbury. Funeral services are at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 28th at St. Andrews Catholic Church. Visitation is from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be with Bag Pipes Honor of Amazing Grace. Fr. Michael Dineen is the celebrant. Betzer Funeral Home is serving the Sullivan Family.
