Betty Jane Wright

Betty J. Wright, 74, a longtime resident of Salem, WI passed to eternal life surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at her residence.


Betty was born on May 27, 1949 in Clifton Springs, NY to Ralph and Alma (Husen) McIntyre. She married Roger Wright on April 12, 1975 in Geneva, New York. Betty was a tender and loving mother who always made sure her family was well taken care of and volunteered as a girls Volleyball, Soccer and Cheerleading Coach. Betty was a avid crafter and seamstress and sewed many of the cheerleaders uniforms. Betty was from upstate New York and graduated from Phelps Central High school in 1967, and Baptist Bible College in Pennsylvania in 1973.


Betty and Roger where longtime members of Community Baptist Church in Silver Lake. Betty is survived by her husband Roger, Son Jeffrey (Madaline Rodrick) Wright, grandson Jaxon Wright, siblings Nancy Horton, Judy Crane, Dan (Sandy) McIntyre and Barb (Mike) San Angelo, as well as, in-laws, Jeanne O’boyle, Lyle (Debbie) Wright, Neil (Bonnie)Wright, Cheryl (Ron) Barta.’ She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Preceded in death by her parents, sister Mary Ann Wolf and Brothers-in-law, Kenneth Wright and Joseph O’boyle.


Visitation will be held at the Community Baptist Church (203 North 4th Street, Silver Lake, WI 53170) on Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 2-4p.m. with service at 4p.m. Private interment will be held at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.


Lazarczyk Family Funeral Home of lake Geneva, Wisconsin is assisting the family.
