Brian L. Gates

Brian L. Gates Longtime resident in the Town of Delavan passed away on Saturday October 6, 2018 at the age of 73. He was born on January 7, 1945 in Elkhorn, the son of the late Donald and Dorothy (Johnson) Gates. He was married on June 23rd, 1973 at the Lake Geneva Methodist Church to Nancy Mott. Brian and Nancy were the longtime operators of the Geneva Lake Bait and Tackle for over 45 years. Brian is the loving father of Brian R. Gates. Surviving are his brothers of Bruce (Dorothy) Gates of Virginia, Bill Gates of New York and Bob Gates of Williams Bay, WI, Brother-in-law Bill (Kendra) Mott and Pat Mott. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Brian is preceded in death by his parents and brother Boyd Gates. A visitation will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 at the Steinke-Lazarczyk Funeral Home (515 Center Street, Lake Geneva) from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. with a service at 12 p.m., Pastor Daniel Waldschmidt will be officiating.
