Brian A. Stout

April 17, 1965 — May 3, 2025

Brian Andrew Stout, age 60, of Delavan, Wi. passed away on May 3rd, 2025 at John H. Stroger, Jr Hospital of Cook County. Brian was born the eldest of three children on April 17th, 1965 to the late Robert A. Stout and Doris L. Merry.

Brian attended school in the Elkhorn and Delavan-Darien school districts. He was a member of 4-H and FFA. He inherited the love of growing plants (vegetables, fruits, and flowers) from his maternal grandparents. He would also help neighboring farmers with chores whenever they needed. This led to his love for John Deere tractors, and he began collecting toy versions of them. His favorite place to go was the Toy Tractor Show in Dyersville, Iowa.

Brian also loved animals. It didn’t matter what type, dogs, cats, racoons or farm animals, he loved them all. Throughout his life, there were multitudes of farm animals/critters, and when he reached adulthood, he was sure to have a furry pet running around his home.

After high school, he worked at various factory positions in the area. His last place of employment was “Forging and Stamping” of Delavan. During his down time, he would work outside in the flowerbeds that he and his mother would design and implement. The final display of colors was beautifully picturesque.

Brian is survived by his sister, Lori (Robert) Jeters of Delavan, daughter Jessica, nephews Andy Jeters, Tyler Jeters, Cameron Jeters, and Jordan Jeters of Delavan, Eric (Alyssa) Ellertson of Appleton, Cody (Hannah) Ellertson of Lake Geneva, Travis (Lily) Ellertson of Burlington, and niece Rebecca Ellertson of Burlington, as well as great nieces/nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert, his mother, Doris, his sister, Kelly Jo, both sets of grandparents, and step-father, Allan Shoemaker.

A private service will be held by family, with internment at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Spring Prairie, Wi.
