Carl F. Matthews, 81 of Elkhorn, WI Passed to eternal life at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI on Tuesday November 7, 2017. Carl was born July 14, 1936 in Geneva Township, WI the son of Fayette and Mildred Bucholtz. Carl married Lorraine M. Austin on March 22, 1969 in Lake Geneva, WI. Surviving is his wife Lorraine, daughter Tami Newman of Elkhorn, WI, grandchildren Lindsey (Josh) Hibl and Jayce Newman, along with one great-grandchild Leighton Hibl. Also survived by sister Cathy Dillenbeck, Janesville, WI and brothers Gene (Jane) Matthews, Hot Springs AR, Danie (Joyce) Matthews, Rocky Point, NC, and many loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, sisters Lois Knull, Adah Burge and brother Don. Service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lake Geneva, WI with Pastor Karl Schultz officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to time of services. Burial is at Roselawn Memory Gardens, Delavan Township, WI.
