Carl Stafford Sanders

Carl Stafford Sanders, 94, of Inlet Oaks, Delavan died in the home he built many years ago with his family at his side on July 5, 2016. Carl was born April 20, 1922 in Richmond Twsp. Walworth Co., WI the son of Roy Harlow Sanders and Cora Lillian Minshall. He married Estrid Gundberg in 1948 in Chicago. Carl was a brick layer and professional mason. He belonged to brick layers union #4 of Lake Geneva. He was a 62 year long member of the Delavan United Methodist Church and a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was also a 50 year member of the Harvard Moose Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Estrid of Delavan. 2 daughters, Peggy (David) Barber of Delavan and Jill (Brent) Gunnink of Clinton,WI 1 son, Lee (Deb) of Delavan. 1 brother, David Sanders of Lake Forest, IL and 1 sister, Polly Schulz of Lake Geneva. 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by 1 daughter, Jean. Private family graveside services were held Friday, July 8th at Roselawn Memory Gardens with the Rev. Maribel Celiz officiating. Betzer Funeral Home is serving the Sanders Family. Memorials to Aurora at home health care hospice are suggested.
