Carol Carstensen

Carol Ann Graham (Herwald) Carstensen, 86 years of age, resident of Arbor Village Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024.

She was born on May 2, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of the late Anna and Elmer Herwald. She was united in marriage to Robert Carstensen on December 15, 1956, at Immanual Lutheran Church of Lake Geneva.

Carol worked as a waitress at the Play Boy Club now the Grand Geneva Resort where she met many celebrities. She additionally worked in the kitchen at Badger High School for many years. An avid golfer, Carol was also a dedicated member at Immanual Lutheran Church of Lake Geneva.

Survived by her children, Ron (Debbie) and Russ (Tammie) Carstensen; grandchildren Troy, Kyle (Jen), and Duey (Courtney) Carstensen and Jessica (Brandon) Stafford; siblings Nancy Martin, Linda Herwald, and Rick Herwald; as well as brother-in-law's Lawrence Carstensen and Bill Flemming. Carol was Blessed with four Great Grandchildren. Dillon and Avery Carstensen and Kingsley and Brynlee Stafford. Preceded in death by her husband, parents Elmer and Anna Herwald, son Robert Carstensen Jr., and sisters Gloria Carstensen and Barb Flemming.

Private family services will be held on December 7, 2024.

In accordance with Carol’s wishes, memorials to Sons of the American Legion Squadron 24 of Lake Geneva (735 Henry St, Lake Geneva, WI, United States, Wisconsin) are greatly appreciated.
