Charles Andrew 'Chuck' Carlson

Charles A. Carlson, 81 of Delavan died in Elgin , Ill where he recently was moved near his daughter as his health was failing. Chuck was born March 19, 1936 in Chicago, Il the son of Harry Carlson and Catherine Clarke. He married Carolyn Phillips Feb. 14, 2001 st St. John's in the Wilderness Episcopal Church in Elkhorn. Chuck drove commercial trucks for many years and was also a truck mechanic. In later years he was a master builder of Bird Houses as well as active in the Delavan Model Train Shows. He was formerly active in Boy Scouts of America and also played string base for 25 years. He was currently a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. He is survived by two daughters, Catherine (Ron) Johnson of Brandenton, FL and Caryn (Keith) Maychszak of Oakwood Hills, IL. 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11am. Saturday, Jan. 27, 2017 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Chuch with the Rev. Robert P. Rickman officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services. Betzer Funeral Home of Delavan is serving the family. Service Information Saturday, January 27th, 2018 11:00am
