Clarence G. Thompson, 87, Williams Bay, WI. died Friday May 23,2014 at his residence. Clarence was born Oct. 20, 1926 in Elkhorn, WI the son of Harold and Georgia Ludke Thompson. United in marriage to Muriel E. Anderson on Dec. 8, 1951 at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lake Geneva. Graduated from Elkhorn High School, Class of 1944. Member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, VFW Post # 2373 of Williams Bay, and Sta-Rite Quarter Century Club of Delavan. Employed at Sta-Rite for 29 years, as an inspector, retiring in 1988 due to his illness. Served in the U.S. Army in WWII. Clarence was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. Surviving are his wife, Muriel, daughter, Evelyn (Gary) Starck, Williams Bay, WI. and sons, Clarence (Jayne) Thompson Jr., Villa Park, IL, Charles (Linda) Thompson, and Carl (Diana) Thompson, Delavan, WI. Grandchildren, Tara (Cory) Palmer, Katie (Donald) Dunsker, Elizabeth Starck, Caroline Starck, Mariel (Taylor) Curran, Andrew Thompson, Christopher and Briana Thompson, 1 great-granddaughter, Charlotte Dunsker, two sisters, Betty Byron, and Barbara (Ron) Martin, Green Valley, AZ, and a brother Emmett (Betty) Thompson, Walworth, WI. Preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Rose Olivera, and a brother Harold Thompson. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday May 27, 2014 at the Steinke Funeral Home, Lake Geneva, WI with Pastor MaryAnn Moller-Gunderson from Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery with Full Military Rites. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. to time of services at the Funeral Home.
