Craig Matthew McCue, 61 of Darien died on Sept. 22, 2015 as the result of a traffic accident. Craig was born Feb. 20, 1954 in Belvidere, Illinois the son of Dwight F. McCue and Kathryn Peterson. He married Ruthann Henry . Craig's passion in life was to support his beloved wife, family and strive to produce the highest quality beef cattle in the United States. Craig spent his career working in local union 152 of Lake County, Illinois specializing in masonry. His dedication and work ethic was unsurpassed. Craig's passion for life touched all who crossed his path. He had a profound ability to make people laugh, even in the most difficult of times. One thing is certain, Craig has joined Michael his son and best friend on the greenest pastures with the best cattle in heaven. A Psalm he would most want remembered is Psalm 37:27. Craig is survived by his beloved wife Ruthann. 2 daughters Susie and Connie (T.T.) and one son, Ronald. His mother Kathryn Jean and step father John Bost of Brookfield FL. Brothers, Keith McCue of Elgin, IL and Mark McCue of Iowa. Sister, Sandra (Joe) Roberts of Beyer, FL. Uncle , Clayton (Wendy) Peterson of Chicago and Aunt Elaine (Bruce) Jensen of Altoma, WI. 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. a God daughter, Natalie Cabrera of Minnesota. He was predeceased by his father Dwight H. McCue, a grandmother, Sadie Oglesby of Huntley, IL and beloved son Michael who is with him every step of the way. "Don't be Scared". Funeral Services are 12non Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015 at the Community Baptist Church of Darien. Friends may call from 10am to 12noon on Saturday. Memorials maybe me made to the family in Craig's name for a memorial to be establish in his honor for children in 4 H beef project at the Walworth Co. Fair.
