Cynthia Helen Apolo, age 68, of Salem, Wisconsin, passed away on August 14, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born on May 29, 1957, to the late Kenneth Sowul and Natalie (Pranske) Baca. Cynthia was known for her loving warmth and unique sense of humor. She had a flair for collecting beautiful jewelry and always knew the best online stores. She treasured the friendships she formed in her building—she looked forward to the daily visits and trips to Dunkin’ Donuts. Her beloved cat, Cheeto, brought her joy and comfort. Above all else, Cynthia’s heart belonged to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Their laughter was her sweetest song; their achievements, her proudest moments; and their hugs, her greatest comfort. They were truly life’s greatest blessing, the lights of her life.
Cynthia is survived by her loving family - children, Jennifer (Raymond) Leimuller; Victoria (Rob) Bedrosian; and Victor (Nicole) Apolo; grandchildren, Jordan (Sarah), Chaz (Heather), Aliyah, Brock, Jax, Tori, and Sascha; six cherished great-grandchildren; brothers, Shawn (Karen) Sowul and Tony Anikeew; niece, Melanie (Kevin) Parks; one great-niece and two great-nephews; and former spouse, Victor Apolo. Along with her parents, Kenneth Sowul and Natalie (Pranske) Baca; Cynthia was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Coari; and son, Daniel Apolo.
A private celebration of life will be held at the family’s request. Cynthia adored animals, so please consider making a donation in her name to a local animal shelter of choice. For additional information, please call (262) 248-2320.
