David C. Akright, 64, Elkhorn WI died Saturday July 18, 2015 at the Aurora Lakeland Medical Center, Elkhorn. David was born Oct. 9, 1950 in Readstown, WI the son of Charles and Elizabeth Drake Akright. Graduated from Elkhorn High School Class of 1970. Was employed as a Custodian at Lakeland Nursing Home for 34 years, retiring in 2004. Surviving are; daughter, Dawn (Leonard) Hewitt, Elkhorn, WI. significant other, Roberta Akright, Elkhorn, WI, step-sons, Schawn (Jessica) Scholfield, Marengo, IL, and Richard Scholfield, Vermont. Grandchildren, Zyah and Zayden Hewitt, and step grandchildren, Savannah and Nathan Scholfield, sisters, Linda Schmitt, Elkhorn, WI, Sandra (John) Jackson, Elkhorn, WI, and Charlene (Gene) Bakko, Kissimmee, FL. and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, 1 granddaughter Sidney Hewitt, and 1 sister June Conway. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday July 24, 2015 at Como Community Church, Lake Como with Pastor Bob Kamps officiating. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memory Gardens, Delavan Township.
