Debra Sue "Debbie" Hackler

Debra S. Hackler, 59, of Lake Geneva passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, January 5, 2023. Debbie was born in Mt. Prospect, IL on August 24, 1963, daughter to Dennis and LaVerne (Ahrens) Unbehaun. She married Jeffrey A. Hackler on 7/21/1984 in McHenry Illinois. He preceded her in death on March 9, 2006. Debbie worked 32 years for the State of Illinois DHS and finally retired as a caseworker supervisor. Debbie's passions included running her farmers market ,gardening, shopping, cooking and floating in the pool. But most of all her biggest passion was spending time with family and friends, and being "Nonnie" to her two "sugar pies". Debbie is survived by her son Andrew (Tommi) Hackler, grandsons Carson and Tanner, and son Adam (Alexis) Hackler. She is also survived by her loving significant other Tom Held, mother LaVerne, sister Janet (Robert) Behrens, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Debbie is preceded in death by her husband, father, and brother Don Unbehaun. A celebration of Debbie's life will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2023 from 1-4p.m. at the Como Club House (W3730 Clubhouse Dr., Lake Geneva, WI).
