Dorance R. 'Doc' Clapp

.Dorance R. Clapp "Doc" was born on January 18, 1936 in Elkhorn, WI. and died peacefully Thursday April 6, 2017 at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice, Wauwatosa, WI., with his daughter at his side. Doc graduated from Burlington High School with the class of 1953. He worked for many years at Borgs in Delavan, WI, Trostels in Lake Geneva, WI. and the Hillmoor Country Club, Lake Geneva, WI. Doc was a member of the Lyons Fire & EMS Service and The Board of Springfield Union Cemetery. Doc enjoyed being outside and loved hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and the occasional gambling trip. He is survived by his children Vicki (Don) Moat, Nekoosa, WI., David Clapp, Black River Falls, WI. Grandchilderen Jason Clapp, Debra (Jake) Schaitel, Michelle (Jim) Eagleson, Kristin (Mike) Lambrecht, Kurt Clapp, Charissa Hernandez, Kaylynn Clapp. Great-Grandchilderen Hunter, Jesse, Dakota, Kaylee, Mckayla, Isabella Tiara and Cassius. Siblings Vernita Hudson, Ray (Karen) Clapp and Judy (Jim) Slack. As well as special friend Nancy Hefty and her family. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Preceeded in death by Wife Ethel Clapp, Son Ronald Clapp, daughter Debra Clapp, parents Clifford and Sarah (nee. Storey) Clapp, sisters Evelyn Quass, Eleanor Borgan, Esther Powell, Betty Fortney, and brother Clifford Clapp Jr. Visitation will be held 12 noon-2:00 p.m on April 13, 2017 with a service at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Joseph Reynders officiating at Steinke-Lazarczyk Funeral Home, Lake Geneva WI. Burial will take place after service in Springfield Union Cemetery. We want to give a special thanks to the Aurora Lakeland and St. Luke's Medical Centers. The Lyons Rescue Team as well as the many others that have helped with his care the past few years. Steinke-Lazarczyk Funeral Home and Cremation Services assisted the family with the arrangements.
