Edward C. Leahy

Edward Charles Leahy, age 85 of Lyons Township passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018 at the Atrium Post-Acute Care Center in Williams Bay. He was born on July 27, 1933 to Francis and Lula Leahy. He grew up on his family farm in Lyons Township and remained there his entire life. He attended Lyons Grade School and graduated from Lake Geneva High School in 1951. Edward made his living working on the family farm. On July 25, 1971 he married Lily Abbinatti, she preceded him in death on June 25, 2008. Edward is survived by his son Edward P. Leahy, four nieces Michelle (James) Smith, Theresa (Gary) Ketterhagen, Kathleen (Scott) Vorpagel and Barbara (Mark) Hess. Brother-in-law of Vince and Rose Parisi and their children Vince Jr., Mark and Helena. Also surviving are his good friends Jim, John, Yanette and Tavo, other friends and relatives. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother John and sister-in-law Rita Leahy. Ed was devoted to his son and gave his entire attention to the care of little Eddie. He will be greatly missed by friends and family. Godspeed Uncle Eddie. A visitation for Edward will be held on Saturday October 27, 2018 at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (148 Main Street, Lake Geneva, WI) from 9 to 10 a.m. with a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will take place at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Richmond, IL.
