Eric Dewight Berry

Eric Dewight Perry Formerly of Chicago IL passed away Sunday September 3rd in Delavan WI. Ricky as he was known to family and friends was born in Chicago IL on 4 /7/ 1961 to the parents of Amanda(Green) Berry and C.S Berry who preceded him in death. Ricky's former education was in Chicago lL and after high school he work various jobs before he found his calling and train to become a CNA and work in the Chicago area. In 1993 he relocated to South Bend IN where he started to work in homecare. After a injury he was no longer able to work and retired early. Those who knew him can remeber his love for music and movies,and his fondness for wrestling and base ball expectantly the Chicago Cubs. On August 22, 2017 Ricky married his partner of a year James Koshe and was never happier. James was with him when he passaway and was saddened by his passing. Ricky was preceded in death by his maternal parents a sister Adrian Stevens of South Bend IN a brother in law James Shipman of South Bend IN. Ricky leaves to cherish his memory his partner James Koshe of Delavin WI, a sister Darlene Berry-Shipman of South Bend IN, 3 nephews Anthony(Ashley) Berry-Watts, Damien Shipman of South Bend IN, Christopher Berry of Loganport IN, and one niece Amanda Berry of Charlotte North Carolina along with a host of family and friends. The families would like to express their deepest gratitude to everyone for there support and kind words thank you all. Memorial gathering will be 2 to 4pm Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017 at the Betzer Funeral Home, Delavan.
