Evelyn Joan Dixon

Evelyn J. Dixon, 81, of West ST. Elkhorn and longtme Delavan Resident died Friday, April 25, 2014 at Mercy Hospital, Janesville, WI. Evelyn was born March 1, 1933 i Indianapolis, Indiana the daughter of Roscoe Blaine Stewart and Ida Belle Witham. She married Robert J. Dixon, Sept. 5, 1953 in Indianapolis, IIndiana. Robert predeceased Evelyn Sept. 10, 2005. Evelyn was an active member of the UCC-Congregational Church of Delavan. She was in the Shalom circle of the church. Most of her working life, Evelyn was a child care provider. Evelyn is survived by two sons, Daniel (Carleen) Dixon of Elkhorn. J. Scott (Jane) Dixon of Pardeeville, Wi and one daughter, Patricia (Wm) Sexton of Delavan. 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, 2 brothers, Everett, and Harlan and 3 sisters, Helen, Annabell and Kathleen. Funeral services will be 11am. Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at the UCC-Congregational Church in Delavan with the Rev. Laura McLeod officiating. Burial will be in the Church Garden. Friends may call Monday, April 28, 2014 from 5 to 7pm at the Betzer Funeral Home in Delavan and one hour prior to services at the church. Memorials to the Congregational Church are suggested.
