Everett Douglas Bowman

Everett Douglas Bowman, 89, of Delavan passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Friday January 27. Everett was born April 5, 1927 to Ann Grace and Carlton Bowman in New London, Conn. He joined the Army Air Corps and was a radio operator in the Korean War and World War 2. He was a true American that loved his country and saluted the flag every morning he put it up. He married Mildred Cervenka October 29,1960 in the Little Brown Church in the Valley. They were avid square dancers, belonged to a bowling league, Lauderdale snowdrifters club, Walco Campers, Como Community Church and Prairie Grove Baptist Church in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. He worked for Mann Brothers and belonged to Operating Engineers 139 for 45 years. He loved gardening, his train collection, woodworking, western movies, country music and his Stetson hats. He is survived by his wife Mildred Bowman, daughter Tammy Hatch, granddaughters Kristyn and Katelyn Bowman, and a great grandson Xander Wisnoski.Memoial services are Sat. Feb. 4th at Calvary Community church at 11:00a.m. with the Rev. Chuck Cervenka offciating. Military gravesdie services to follow in East Delavan Union Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services at Calvary Community Church.
