Francis P. 'Doc' De Vries

Francis "Doc" De Vries 87, Lake Geneva, died Friday January 15th, 2016 at his residence. Doc was born July 30th, 1928 in Elkhorn, WI. The son of Claude and Tena Den Besten De Vries. United in marriage for 66 years to Lila Blood October 29th, 1949 in Lake Geneva. Doc graduated from Alden Hebron High School, Hebron, IL, where he was raised on a farm south of Hebron, IL. He was a member of the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lake Geneva Masonic Lodge # 44 F&AM, Member of the IBEW Local Union #890 in Janesville, WI. Doc was an Electrician for 37 years retiring in 1994. He served in the U.S. Air Force in the First Pilotless Bomber Squadron from 1951 to 1954. Surviving is his wife Lila, daughter Danitta De Vries Fabri, Lake Geneva, Sons Gary (Karen) De Vries of White Lake, MN, and Steven (Jolene) De Vries of Arlington, Tx. Grandchildren, Zachary Fabri, Tina(Nathan) Wikman, Rachel & Danielle De Vries and Great Grandchildren, Jaime, Julia & Jessica Wikman and Kaylee Fabri. One niece and eight nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Helen Schultz and Agnes Schultz, two brothers, Infant Brother John De Vries and Eugene De Vries, and one niece. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday January 28th, 2016 at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Pastor Mark Moeller-Gunderson of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church will be officiating.
