Fred Kaempfer

Fred Kaempfer age 86, of Melbourne, FL and formerly of Lake Geneva, WI was born on 8/20/1934 and passed away on 2/2/21 in Melbourne, Florida with his family surrounding him. Fred grew up in Lake Geneva, WI. He Married Kathleen Swetland July 15, 1961 in Fox Point Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, WI. Fred was in the Navy for 21 years, 5 years in Naval aviation. After retiring from the Navy he got an MBA in accounting at UNF and worked as an accountant for Shields Aviation in the 1980s. Fred lived in Jacksonville for 40 years, 26 years going to Lake Geneva in the summer months. Fred and Kathy had three children, Kirt Kaempfer (Cathy), Karin Kaempfer Mann (Charlie) & Kate Marie (deceased), five beautiful grandchildren, Kirt Francis, Chelsea Marie, Dylan Patrick, Charles Wesley and Catherine Lane and one great grandchild Grant Douglas. Fred and Kathy went on over 20 cruises and around the world for 92 days on the QE2. He had a love for traveling. A visitation will be held at the FUNERAL HOME (515 Center St, Lake Geneva) on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 10 - 11 a.m. with a services at 11 a.m. Graveside service will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lake Geneva with reception immediately following.
