Gail Y Earle

Gail Y. Earle, 79, of Delavan, passed away at Lakeland Medical in Elkhorn on Saturday, June 20, 2026.

Born in Chicago on October 31, 1946, Gail moved around with her family before settling in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. She attended UW-Whitewater and married in 1967. She moved to Delavan in 1971, living there for over 40 years.

Gail contributed to the community for many years. Most notably, she was known as The Teddy Bear Lady, having made teddy bears and other stuffed animals. Gail was a loving mother and will be deeply missed by her entire family.

Gail is survived by her two brothers, Mike (Darlene) Ryan of Corvallis, OR and Daniel Ryan of Lead, SD; her two children, Kathryn (James) Ulatt of Franklin, WI and Andrew (Katrina) Earle of Franklin, IN; and grandson, Ryan Ulatt of La Crosse, WI.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Shirley Ryan.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to one of two very deserving and beneficial charities – Shriners’ Children’s Hospital  or World Central Kitchen.

Funeral Services will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 26, 2026 at Christ Episcopal Church, 503 E. Walworth Ave in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral on Friday at the church.
