Gerald C Edwards

Gerald C. Edwards, age 83 years, Longtime resident of Delavan, WI. Passed to eternal life on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Froedtert Memorial Hospital in Wauwatosa. Gerald was born on March 8, 1942, in Chicago, IL to the late Clarence and Helen (Nee Schultz) Edwards. Gerald married Grace M. Minkey on June 19, 1965, at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Clinton. Gerald was Fire Chief for the Town of Delavan for many years. He loved to work with his hands and was always wanting to work on many projects doing electrical, plumbing, snowplowing, lawn mowing, landscape work, brass refinishing and vehicle repairs. He loved to spend time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was a collector of Oliver Tractors. Gerald is survived by his wife for over 60 years Grace “Chris” Edwards, Daughter Tricia (Darrell) Duesterbeck, granddaughters Madeline and Miya Duesterbeck, brothers Roger (Nancy) Edwards and Donald (Jackie) Edwards, sisters-in law Mary Edwards, Ardis Edwards, Myra Roehl and Louise (Pete) Ross, brothers-in-law Paul (Carolyn) Minkey, Louis (Sandra) Minkey, Bill (Significant other Evelyn Wick) Minkey. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Preceded in death by his parents, 8 siblings and his daughter Tammy Edwards. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church (416 West Geneva Street DELAVAN, WI 53115) from 10:00 am until 11:30am starting with the Fire Department walkthrough and service and the Funeral Service starting at Noon with Pastor Mark Wilkens officiating. Interment on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, 10am at Clinton Cemetery please meet at cemetery gate.
