Gerald O. Ketchpaw

Gerald Owen Ketchpaw May 27, 1937 - April 3, 2017 Gerald (Jerry) Owen Ketchpaw, 79, of Lake Geneva passed away at his home on Monday April 3, 2017. He was born May 27, 1937 in Lake Geneva, the son of Merrill and Helen(Millar) Ketchpaw. A lifelong resident of Lake Geneva for most of his life, spending some years living in Elkhorn, attended Lake Geneva High School graduating in 1956. Upon graduating high school Jerry served in the U.S. Army Reserves for 6 years. More importantly he married his high school sweetheart, Dionne Pody on June 28, 1958. Jerry spent a year at the Wisconsin Barber College in Milwaukee learning the trade. He was owner and operator of Ketchpaw's Hair Styling for almost 60 years. Jerry loved life and lived it to its fullest. He was successful in real estate and traveled extensively with his lifelong partner, Dionne. He was an avid tennis player and sports fan of the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers. Jerry was a member of the Elkhorn Lions Club for a few years, also a member at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Lake Geneva Most importantly Jerry loved his family, from his wife Dionne of 59 years to his daughters Colleen Garvin and Colette (Mike) Coolidge. Jerry was blessed with 4 grandchildren (Bridget, Sarah, Justin and Anne), along with 2 great grandchildren (Avery and Lincoln). Jerry is also survived by his brother, Don (Marilyn) Ketchpaw along with many nieces and nephews Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Robert and Warren Ketchpaw. Jerry will be missed by his family and friends. We were all blessed to have had him in our lives Visitation will be Sunday April 9 at Steinke-Lazarczyk Funeral Home in Lake Geneva from 4-7pm. Mass will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Elkhorn with Bishop James Schuerman officiating at 10:30am on Monday April 10.
