Gordon Heye "Gordie" Folkers

Gordon Heye Folkers, 91 of Richmond Twsp. Delavan died at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn on Thursday June 6, 2019. Gordie was born July 31,1927 in Richmond Twsp. Walworth Co. the son of Edward Heye Folkers and Elenora Quass. He married Doris Marie Schoenbeck on August 14, 1954 in Walworth Co. WI. Gordy farmed all his life and in his later years was a master gardener growing some of the finest vegetables around. Driving by his precision laid out garden you could not spot a weed. Gordy loved the Walworth Co. Fair and especially enjoyed the Harness Races. He is survived by his two sons, Greg (Sue) Folkers of Darien. Brian on the family homestead . A sister in Law, Grace Schoenbeck of Elkhorn. 3 grandchildren, Jennifer, Amber and cody and 3 great grandchildren Aubrey, Ella and Alexa. He was predeceased by his wife, Doris and a granddaughter, Nicole. Funeral Services will be 11am. on Monday, June 10th at the Betzer Funeral Home in Delavan. Friends may call from 9 to 11 on Monday. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery in Delavan. A reception will be held in Darien after the Burial service Service Details.
