Gregory "Greg" Blizard

October 27, 1950 — June 19, 2025

Gregory Leigh Blizard, 74 of Fontana, Wisconsin passed away peacefully at home on June 19, 2025. Greg was born in London, England to Doris and Robert Blizard.

The Blizards emigrated to the States in 1958, ultimately calling Williams Bay home. Greg pursued schooling at MATC, and became a mechanical engineer and CAD designer for 33 years. He married Carolyn (née Wells) in July of 1983. During his life he served his community as a boat patrolman for the Town of Delavan and a dispatcher for the City of Delavan. He dedicated 45 years to the Village of Fontana with the Fontana PD, Fontana Rescue Squad and Fontana Fire Department. After retirement you would also find him working the boat launch for the Village helping boaters which would result in him telling some “what not to do” stories. His sense of humor, especially his endless supply of dad jokes, was a cherished part of who he was.

Greg is survived by his wife Carolyn, children Michelle Blizard Tess, David (Melina) Blizard and Bertie (Kevin) Glebke, 2 grandchildren, sister Julia (Cecil) Logterman, sisters in law Evelyn (Jerry) Opper and Andrea (Troy) Ackerman and nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 26, 2025 at The Owl Tavern, W4120 Southland Rd., Lake Geneva, WI at 4pm.
