Gunnar Eric Peterson

Gunnar E. Peterson was surrounded by his children as he passed away on June 7, 2016 at his home in Hudson, WI. Gunnar grew up in Lake Geneva and married his high school classmate, Irene Jacobson. He was proud of his service as an Air Force navigator on a B-24 during World War II. He was a commercial artist for many years, but his passion was building ship models and carving wooden characters that he gave to his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and special friends. Gunnar is predeceased by his beloved wife of 52 years, Irene. He is survived by his children: Richard Peterson (Harriet Schoenberg), Ellen Ledger, Janet Clymer (John), Wendy Kriss and Dean Peterson (Kathy); grandchildren: Derek Peterson (Anne), Laura Crabtree (Mack), Alex Ledger (Laura), Kyle Ledger (Robyn), Erica Nichols (Brian), Joe Clymer, Katie Pederson (Kyle), Ben Clymer (Brianna), Jake Clymer (Katie), Megan Howard (Matt), Jason Kriss , Bryan Kriss, Evan Peterson, Chad Peterson and 15 great-granchildren.
