Helen Beatrice Teegen

Helen Beatrice Teegen, 89 passed away to eternal life on Monday, September 17, 2018 with her loving family at her side at the Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn, WI. She was born November 14, 1928 in Burlington, WI the daughter of the late George and Anna (Thorten) Kayser. She was one of seven children, growing up on a farm in Spring Prairie. Helen was a longtime resident of Lake Geneva and a member of the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed participating in bible study classes with her friends at Immanuel. She also enjoyed music, singing and taking walks with her best friend Alyce. Helen worked as a manager of Skrudland Photo Developing Company for 30 years and after that in sales at Trader Nick's Gift Store. Helen was a devoted mother to her two children; Britta Martisse of Lake Geneva, WI and Danny Teegen of Glendale, Arizona. She was a loving companion and wife to her late husband of 63 years, Oscar. Helen is survived by her two children, brother, George Kayser of Milwaukee, WI, brother-in-law Edward Teegen of Janesville, WI and granddaughter Tracy Baker of Arbor Vitae, WI. A visitation will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Steinke-Lazarczyk Funeral Home (515 Center Street, Lake Geneva) on Friday, September 21, 2018 with a service at 12 p.m., Chaplin Sue will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lake Geneva.
