Henry Gorr

Henry Gorr, 101 of Lake Geneva, WI, passed to eternal life at Arbor Village on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. He was born on October 22, 1919 to David and Julianna Gorr. He married Sophie Ritter on June 21, 1947 in Melrose Park and she preceded him in death on June 17, 1984. He then married Mary Altergott in 1987 in Melrose Park, IL. Henry and Mary were long time members of First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Henry owned and operated a Sinclair Service Station in River Grove, IL and then he worked for the City of Lake Geneva in the Parking Enforcement Department. Henry is survived by his sister Eleanor (Frank) Steinke, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Henry was preceded in death by his wives, parents and siblings Amalia Michael, Larry, David Jr, and Alex Gorr. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church (1101 Logan Street, Lake Geneva, WI) from 2-3:30pm. The Funeral Service will follow at 3:30pm with Pastor Bartelt officiating. Burial will be at Concordia Cemetery in Forest Park, IL.
