James Stanley Tenhagen, 82, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026 at Lakeland
Hospital, Elkhorn, WI. Jim was born on March 30, 1943 in Burlington, WI and spent his young
life on the family’s dairy farm just east of Burlington. His life was full of fun and resourceful
solutions to life, work and family/friends. He was always up for an adventure. Jim’s hobbies
included: Riding his Harley, DANCING, country music, bonfires, camping, deer hunting, ice
skating, basketball, horse shoes, couples bowling, crossword puzzles, smoking a corn cob
pipe, his 7 &7s, as well as, fixing up and driving his Corvair. He worked in the HVAC field for
his career with Peck & Weis and Jim’s Service Company (his own business), where he
serviced the extended Lake Geneva community. Jim was proceeded in death by his parents
Stanley and Eileen Tenhagen, siblings Joan (Marshall) Oberhart, Dale Steiner (brother in-
law), Diane Tenhagen (sister in-law), Charles Tenhagen and granddaughters Brianna Jewel
and Taylor Wingrove. He is survived by his wife of 30 years Lorelei Tenhagen, siblings Mary
(Bill) Piper, Thomas (Lexie) Tenhagen, Dorothy Steiner, Ruth (Steve) Zakowski, Carol
Tenhagen (sister in-law), his children, Patricia (Joseph) Zajac, Joan (Bruce) Bevirt, Kristi
(Kenny) Brunel, Jennifer Wojcik, Morgan (Jamie) Bergsma, and Grandchildren Alex (Michelle)
Zajac, Adam Zajac, Samantha (Jacob) Fuentes, Matthew Zajac, Nicholas (Dani) Brunel,
Natalie Brunel, Lucas Brunel, Rachel Brunel, Brayah Bergsma, Mason Warner, Zachary
Wojcik. Information on a Celebration of Life will follow.
