Janet M. Whitmore

Janet M. Whitmore, 75 years of age and resident of Elkhorn, Wisconsin, passed away on March 16, 2025, at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center. Janet was born on January 14, 1950, in Wisconsin, to the late Florence (nee Schram) and Vincent Kelter. She was united in marriage to Dale Whitmore in the 1970’s; he preceded her in death in 2002.

Janet was an outgoing and adventurous person, living in California during her younger years. She practiced ceramics for a time and absolutely loved music; some of her favorites included Guns N’ Roses, Rod Stewart, Phil Collins, and Neil Diamond. Janet also worked for AT&T for many years. She will be remembered as a strong-willed, tough woman, who was an “awesome mom”. Janet will be missed by many.

She is survived by her sons Alex and Shane (Danielle) Whitmore as well as her siblings Jim (Carol), Joe (Renee), and Tom (Melody) Whitmore. Janet is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband; parents; and brother-in-law Gary.

Private family services are to be held at a later date.
