Jennifer Helen Meinel, age 55 years of Lake Geneva, WI. Passed to eternal life on May 23rd, 2026. Jennifer was born on May 22, 1971, in Waukegan, IL. Daughter of Kenneth Sr and Star (nee Norini) Ptaszek. She married Ryan Meinel on January 6, 2024 in LaCrosse, WI. Jennifer was a master in thoughtfulness, friend to all who knew her, mother to every child she met, and a teacher to all those interested in learning. As a kindergarten teacher, she impacted the future of hundreds of children. As a fitness trainer and owner of three Jazzercise centers, she was dedicated to empowering women to take charge of their health and uphold their esteem. She was known to lower dues for those in need, citing overall health as more important than earnings. A creative soul, she made upcycling an art, and made a home of every house she lived in. An eminent hostess, she threw legendary parties, and her holiday decorations rivaled those in department store windows. Her real legacy, however, is in those she left behind. Survived by her husband Ryan Meinel, mother Star, sons Zachary Simmons, Ryan Simmons, Ashton (Megan) Meinel, Tanner (Payton) Meinel, Logan (Presley) Meinel and Reese (Kyleigh McCaig) Meinel, Grandchildren Landon, Maverick and Colt Meinel and the expected Malcolm Reese Meinel, and siblings Penny Dawn, Ken (Jessica) Ptaszek, Wendy (Joe) Callahan and Danny Schneider, her in-laws Rich and Deborah and nieces and nephews Alex (Angelica) Ptaszek, Samanatha (Jimmy) Hinkley, Emily (Jimmy Rustman) Ptaszek, Andrea (Sam Hoffman), Madelaine (Andrew) Steffen, Avery (Nick Raclawski), Jordan Callahan, Christopher Callahan, Julia Callahan, Jasmine Meinel and Olivia Meinel. Also survived by other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father Ken Ptaszek, Sr, and Grandparents Helen and Chester Ptaszek, Dorothy and Guido Norini and Helen and Joe Second. Visitation will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 3 to 5 PM with Mass of Christian Burial at 5pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Jennifer Meinel Memorial Fund.
