Joanne Darlene Polzin, nee Wenzel 84 of 7090 Del View Avenue, Delavan died Sunday, Oct. 29th, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center, Janesville, WI. Joanne was born Sept. 13, 1933 in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Hugo Hans Paul Wenzel and Ardelia Jenny Kline. She married Wayne Kenneth Polzin on Oct. 10, 1953 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delavan, WI. Joanne was a longtime, active member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and it's Alter Guild, She also was a member of the Delavan Lioness's, Red Hat Society, she volunteered for Meals and Wheels and was a poll worker for the Town of Delavan. Early in here work career, Joanne worked as a Florist at the Delavan Green House. Her and her husband were co-owners of Wayne's TV and Appliance in Delavan from 1951 to 1992. Joanne was active employee of Ridgestone Village in Delavan, where she was a Dining Room Hostess. Joanne is survived by 3 sons; Thomas (Sue) Polzin of Delavan, Steven (Michelle) Polzin of Appleton, Jeffery (Jacquee) Polzin of Mayville, 5 grandchildren, David (Jill) Polzin, Kyle (Bailey) Polzin, Eric Polzin, Taran Polzin and Patrick Polzin, 2 great grandchildren, Thomas Polzin and Hayden Polzin, 1 brother , Ronald (Carol) Wenzel of Lake Geneva, 1 sister, Sandy (Dwayne) of Sarona. She was predeceased by her husband in 2010, two sons, Larry and David and a brother James Wenzel. Funeral Services will be 10:30am. Friday, Nov. 3rd, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with the Rev. Robert P. Rickman officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 pm on Thursday, Nov. 2nd at the Betzer Funeral Home in Delavan and one hour prior to services at the church Service Information Friday, November 3rd, 2017 10:30am
