Joel Richard Myers

Joel R. Myers, age 58 of Delavan passed away on July 30, 2019 in Delavan. He was born in Illinois on November 22, 1961 to Jack and Joy Myers. Joel was a proud HVAC worker and owner of Komfort Heating and Cooling. Joel was an avid fisherman and loved nothing more than trying to catch "Walter". "Here fishy, fishy" will forever be a fond memory of those who got to spend time with Joel out on the water. He was a man of desserts. Joel loved all the sweets, especially a warm chocolate brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. His warm smile, encouraging words, and company will forever be missed by all who loved him. Joel is survived by his wife Launi Myers, of Delavan; his mother Joy Myers of Williams Bay; brother Jay and his wife Laura of Elkhorn; brother Jerry Myers of Elkhorn; his sister Jill Myers of Williams bay, daughter Kendra and her fianc Mark Jennison of Elkhorn; daughter Amber Wellhausen of Elkhorn, and son Greg and his wife Melanie Wellhausen. Joel is also survived by his 5 beautiful grandchildren, Jaiden Bowers, Jade Jarrett, Bailey Jarrett, Leo Wellhausen, and Phenixx Jennison. Joel is proceeded in death by his father Jack Myers and his son Jeff Myers. Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M- 5:00 P.M on Saturday August 3, 2019 at Betzer Funeral Home, 118 S 2nd Street Delavan, WI 53121. Time of remembrance will be held at 5:00 P.M. The Myers/Wellhausen family would like to open up their home for a lite supper and celebration of Joel's life. The family suggests memorials to "Geneva Lake Conservancy" with proceeds going to the Children's Fishing Program as Joel loved fishing and teaching young people how to fish. Service Details.
