John Claude Buckles

John C. Buckles, 90 lifetime Delavan, Delavan Lake Resident died on Wed. Nov. 15th. 2017 at Lakeland Health Care Center, Elkhorn. John was born Jan. 30, 1927 at the family home at Delavan Lake,Wis. the son of Claude Buckles and Marie Powell. John was the retired parts manager for many years at Sikes Motor Sales in Delavan. He was a life long member of the Delavan United Methodist Church and a member of American Legion Post 95 of Delavan. He was drafted during the Korean Crisis. He is survived by cousins and dear friends. John was a wealth of knowledge about the history of Delavan Lake and the Delavan area. He could always be seen driving the latest model of a Buick. Funeral services are 11am. Wed. Nov. 22, 2017 at the Betzer Funeral Home with the Rev. Edward Johnson officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services.
