John Charles 'Jack' Hicks

John Charles "Jack" Hicks, 66 of Turtle Lake, Rural Delavan died unexpectedly at his home on August 4, 2014. John was born November 25, 1947 in Milwaukee,Wisconsin the son of John Butrum Hicks and Lucille Marie Schatchschneider. He graduated from Marquette High School and U of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He then married Marge Louise Callaway Nov. 15, 1969 in Milwaukee. Jack was an entrepreneur for more than 40 years as a professional photographer and various computer/internet business owner.His Hobby and passions were traveling (mostly in Wisconsin) and photography of interesting places. His art has been shown in galleries around the state. He was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church and a devout catholic. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father and friend. He is survived by his wife, Marge of Delavan. 1 son, John (Blanca) Hicks of Delavan and one daughter, Ginny Hicks of Delavan. 2 sisters, Mary (Paul) Gaar of Waukesha and Margaret Ann (Ed)Ellenbecker of Milwaukee. 1 brother, David (Tammy) Hicks of Milwaukee. and his best canine daughter, Nellie. Funeral services will be 2pm Friday, August 8 2014 at ST. Andrews Catholic Church with the Rev. Angel Anaya officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 12noon until service time at the church. Betzer Funeral Home is serving the Hicks Family.
