John C. Megna

John C. Megna, age 76 years. Resident of Milwaukee and Currently of Sussex, WI. Passed to eternal life on Monday, September 23, 2024 surrounded by his family.

Loving Father of Vincent Megna, Monica (Scott) Andersen and Morgan (Daniel) Mercado. Proud grandpa of Isaiah, Carter, Lucas, Cayden, Liam and Ella. Brother of Todd Megna and Joan (Roger) Bruce. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Phyllis Megna.

John was the longtime owner/operator of John Megna Pro Shop. He had many accomplishments when it came to the bowling world. In 1984, he won an Eagle for the Doubles at the National ABC Tournament. In 1994, he was inducted into the Milwaukee Hall of Fame and in 2020, inducted into the Wisconsin Hall of Fame. When John wasn’t on the lanes, you could be sure to catch him out on the golf course. He was an avid golfer and was able to share that passion with his son, Vince. Special mention to Amy Megna who always held a dear place in John’s heart.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 1-4 with service at 4pm at Heritage Funeral Home-New Berlin (16880 West National Ave, New Berlin). Private Interment. In lieu of flowers, Donations can be made in John’s name to the Greyhound Pets of America-Wisconsin online (https://www.gpawisconsin.org/volunteer/donate/) or mailed to: (GPA-WI, 316 Hillside Rd, Colgate, WI 53017) Celebration of life will be held at Bluemound Bowl (12935 w Bluemound Rd, Brookfield, WI) starting at 6pm.
