Joe, age 85, died peacefully at home in Delavan on July 4, 2020. Born in Dickinson, North Dakota on September 6, 1934, he was the son of the late Joseph and Emma (Simek) Jedlicka. On January 21, 1957 he married Mary (Huschka) in South Heart, North Dakota. They moved to Delavan, Wisconsin in 1965 and remained there until his death. Joe loved to play the accordion. In his younger days he had his own polka band and continued to play well into his later years. Dancing was also something he loved to do, and was the best dance partner anyone could wish for. In his spare time he also enjoyed golfing and camping. Joe and Mary loved to travel to Florida in the winter where they spent several weeks being at the ocean, spending time with family and friends. Anyone who drove by their home knew Joe took great pride in keeping his lawn in pristine condition. A carpenter by trade, he could fix anything and was always more than willing to help his children with projects. The most important things to him were his faith, his wife, Mary, who he was married to for 63 years, his children and grandchildren. Joe is survived by his wife Mary and three children: Gary (Kim) Jedlicka of Delavan, Cheryl (Wayne) Frohmader of Fort Myers, Florida, and Darla (Kevin) Washburn of Mukwonago; 9 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Joe is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Martha Jedlicka and brother, Edward Jedlicka. A Visitation will be held on Monday, July 13, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. at St. Andrews Catholic Church, Delavan, with a private funeral and burial to follow.
