Joseph A. Mesec

Mesec, Joseph A., age 91 years, Longtime Resident of Hales Corners. Passed to eternal life surrounded by his family on Saturday, June 1st, 2024.

Devoted husband of Geraldine (Nee Lois). Proud father of Bernadette (Tom) Bartnicki, Chuck Mesec and Kristina (Jerry) Coffey. Loving grandfather of Elizabeth (Andy) Dermody, Jacob (Mallory) Bartnicki, Teresa (Nick) Lemke, Laura (Jonathan) White, Joseph (Stamena) Mesec, Brynn (George) Opelt, Tyler (Shayna) Coffey and Sydney (Lyle Brunner) Coffey. Special great grandfather of Eloise and Agnes Dermody, Lucy and Hallie Bartnicki, Quinn and Lily Lemke, Charlotte and Bentley White, and Ginny and Maisie Coffey. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, brother Don Mesec and nephew Steve Mesec.

Joe was very involved with the Village of Hales Corners, serving on the Public Works Commission and Village Trustee. Longtime member of St. Mary Faith Community for 63 years, Scout Master of Troop 530 and Sacred Heart First Friday Club. Joe Graduated from Notre Dame in 1954 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked for Allis Chalmers and owner of Dietz Electric Co and in 1990 he started Mesec Engineering as a licensed professional engineer.

Visitation will be held on June 21, 2024 from 10-10:45 at St. Mary Faith Community (9520 West Forest Home Ave, Hales Corners) with Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Interment to follow at the parish cemetery. In Lieu of flowers memorial to the St. Mary Faith Community or Xaverian Fathers appreciated.
