Joyce E. Jacobs

April 6, 1952 — August 15, 2021

Joyce E. Jacobs April 6th, 1952- August 15th, 2021 DARIEN- Joyce E. (Lenz) Jacobs went to be with her Lord and Savior the early morning of August 15, 2021. She was born April 6th, 1952 in Elkhorn, Wisconsin to William and Elaine (Joseph) Lenz. Joyce graduated from Delavan-Darien High School in 1970. Joyce was united in marriage to Dennis R. Jacobs on November 7th, 1970. Joyce became a full time mother of two boys and was employed part-time as a waitress and hostess for over 50 years working at Jessie's other Place, Anthony's, and The Duck Inn. Joyce was a loving mother, grandma, and wife. She was an excellent cook and baker and extremely devoted to ALL God's creatures, (including what most consider nuisance animals.) When not with family Joyce enjoyed her solidarity. She would spend hours in her gardens tending to her flowers and vegetables. She would bake and cook for those who enjoyed her meals. She would spend endless hours dedicated to her cats, dogs, and especially her beloved horses. When in doubt, you could always count on her cheering/or yelling at her favorite Wisconsin sports teams. Grandma Joyce had a way of making every minute spent together a special one. There was always creative and fun treats made by her and lots of laughter. She would be found on the floor coloring pages, building legos, learning about remote controlled cars, and finishing puzzles. Grandma Joyce will be remembered by her fierce unconditional love and support. Joyce is survived by her husband of 50 plus years, Dennis R. Jacobs; her father William R. Lenz, Sr.; two sons Grant W. (Jean) Jacobs, of Clinton, WI, and Daniel C. (Sue) Jacobs, of Darien, WI; five grandchildren Cody A. (Ruth) Jacobs, Avery C. Jacobs, Gwynith K. Jacobs, Jett W. Jacobs, and Hawk E. Jacobs; siblings include William Jr. (Judy) Lenz of Delavan, WI and Gary (Sandy) Lenz of Delavan, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Joyce is preceded in death by her mother Elaine; her sister Jean Eddy; an infant brother, and beloved nephew Joseph "Joey" Lenz. The Jacobs family wishes to thank Sharon EMS responders with special thanks to Bruce Vanderveen, and Mercy Trauma Center doctors and nurses for their care and support.
