Joyce A. (Simmons) Kahlke, 81 years of age and resident of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.
She was born on November 30, 1943, in Wisconsin to Arthur and Irene (Kronke) Simmons. Joyce grew up in Burlington and moved to Lake Geneva with her late husband, William Kahlke, who passed in 1982. The two were wed in 1968 and enjoyed many beautiful years together.
A people person at heart, Joyce was incredibly kind-hearted and never had a bad word to say about anyone. She cherished being a mom, grandma, and great-grandma. When she wasn’t spending time with family, Joyce enjoyed crafts, particularly needlework, sitting by the lake, poker, and trips to the Wisconsin Dells. The “Christmas Queen”, Joyce adored decorating for and celebrating the holidays. A member of Como Community Church, Joyce was an easy-going woman and will be missed by many.
Joyce is survived by her children Deb (Allen) Percente and Bill Kahlke; granddaughter Samantha Percente; great-grandson Owen Percente; other relatives; and many church parishioners and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Irene (Kronke) Simmons and her husband William Kahlke.
