Joyce "Cookie" Krueger

Joyce "Cookie" Krueger age 88 years, a lifetime resident of Lake Geneva passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on April 17,2025.

Cookie was born on January 12, 1937 in Elkhorn to Robert and Esther(Schultz) Ryan. She was united in marriage to Arthur Krueger on May 19, 1956 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lake Geneva. Called "my little cookie" by her father, she has been called by that name by family and friends her entire life. She loved so many thing; horses, her puggies, going to the Dells, watching the birds, deer, and turkeys in her front yard, and rummage sales. But there was nothing more important to her than her family. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Cookie is survived by her husband of 69 years, Arthur; loving mother to children Connie (Arnie) Markwald, Robert(Tracy) Krueger, Wendy(Gregory) Lers, Kristine (David) Molitor, Timothy (Kristina) Krueger, and Andrew (Sarah) Krueger. Her grandchildren; Ryan (Alex) Markwald, Eric (Angela) Markwald, Christopher Markwald, Kelsey (Wade) Blaylock, Tara, Justin, Taylor and Bailey Krueger, Gregory Lers, Danielle (Jeremiah) Johnson, Amanda (Jerry) Rodriguez, Carson and Kyla Krueger, Peyton and Georgia Krueger. Her great grandchildren; Luna, Braxton, Keegan, Adaline, Gracie, Josie, Hazel, Avery, Ansley, Conor, Elliana, Jerry, and Bella.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Robert, Jr. and William Ryan, and her son in law Gregory Lers.

The Krueger Family wishes to express how grateful we are for the care given to Cookie over the past year by the team at Aurora Hospice. She was so blessed by the loving care and comfort she was given and truly enjoyed her weekly visits by her "girls", Vicky and Elma.

A private family service is being planned at this time. Memorials can be given in Cookie's name to the Lakeland Animal Shelter .
