Karen Noreen Madaus, 74, of Janesville, passed away, peacefully, on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Rock Haven Nursing home in Janesville. She was born on June 6, 1944 to the late Walter and Iola (Dassow) Long. She married Dennis A. Madaus on February 19, 1991. Karen enjoyed quilting and doing other crafts. She loved to decorate for every holiday. She loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed cooking for her family. She was an avid lover of sweets, especially Rice Krispy treats. Although she was not a sports fan, she cheered for the Packers, Rams and Cowboys. She loved watching and listening to the birds outside, her favorite being Cardinals. She is survived by her son, Neal (Ann) Loback, of Janesville, her grandchildren, Katie, Nick and Jesi, and siblings, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of Dennis. Predeceased in death by her husband, Dennis, her parents, Walter and Iola, daughter, Deanna, sister, Joan and brother, Wayne. Although she did not live forever, she will forever be remembered in the hearts and minds of everyone she met. Everyone loved Karen and she always had a good word to say about all her friends.
