Kathleen "Kathy" Stone (ne Sands) died on December 31, 2014 in Fargo, ND due to complications of pneumonia. She was 72. Kathy was born on June 8, 1942 in Chicago, IL to her parents, Bay and Bernice Sands. She graduated from Lake Geneva High School in 1960. Kathy graduated from Gateway Technical College with a degree in Marketing in 1988. Kathy was formerly married to Roger Stone. While living in Williams Bay, Kathy was very active with the school system as a volunteer. She worked at Anderson Electric in Williams Bay for many years in the 1970's. Kathy enjoyed selling modular homes in Lake Geneva, WI and Queens Creek, AZ in the 1990's and early 2000's. Kathy had a love of family, books, cooking, entertaining and the arts. She was on the New Rockford, ND library board and volunteered many hours to her passion. She also was a deaconess of her church and in charge of the landscaping and flowers for the church. Kathy supported local artists including musicians, actors, writers and craftsmen. She especially enjoyed attending her sons' musical performances, her book club and her bible study group. Kathy is survived by her two sons, David Stone (Teresa Nevin) of Jefferson, WI, and Michael Stone (Laura Stone) of Lake Geneva WI; her brother William Sands (Dorothy) and sister Lynda Sands (Fred George); a granddaughter Geneva and a grandson Jason Loma. She is preceded in death by her parents. Family will accept visitors from 11:00a.m. -12:00 pm on January 31st. Funeral service immediately following visitation.
