Kathryn A. Cocroft

March 10, 1936 — February 16, 2024

Kathryn “Kay” Cocroft, 87, longtime resident of Lake Geneva passed away to eternal life at home surrounded by her family with her loving husband at her side, on Friday, February 16, 2024.

Kay was born on March 10, 1936 in Elkhorn, WI the daughter to the late Edward and Mabel (Mau) Colbert. She married Donald Cocroft on October 6, 1956 at First Ev. Lutheran in Lake Geneva, WI. Kay was an active member of First Lutheran Church, not just by attending, but being involved in other activities.

Kay’s passion was sewing, quilting, gardening, and playing bridge with her friends. She had a love for nature especially the birds. But her greatest joy was her family, her happiest memories were spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Kay wanted us to remember to be good to yourself, kind to others, and to feed the birds.

Kay is survived by her loving husband Don; and her children Ann (Tom) Wall, Susan (David) Robinson, Bob (Liz) Cocroft. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, other relatives, and many friends. Her parents and sister Lois Van Dresser preceded her in death.

Per Kay’s request there was a private family visitation for final goodbyes followed by burial at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lake Geneva on Monday, February 26, 2024.

The family of Kay wants to thank the Aurora At Home Hospice team for all of the work and comfort they provided the family.

Lazarczyk Family Funeral Home of Lake Geneva, WI is assisting the family.
