Klaas Koopmans

Klaas Koopmans, 86, of Delavan, Wisconsin, passed away on January 31, 2023, at his residence. Klaas was born on April 1, 1936, to the late Klazien (Rayne) and Arjen Koopmans in the Netherlands. He married Carol Janssen on December 19, 1962; the two spent 60 wonderful years together. Klaas was a longtime dairy farmer and served on the Wisconsin Holstein Board of Directors. He also developed the Pabst Futurity at the Wisconsin State Fair. Klaas is survived by his loving wife, Carol; children Dan (Vonda) Koopmans, Terry Koopmans, and Kelly Tellez; grandchildren Alex Koopmans, Krystie (Anthony) Jackson, Alex and Alena Tellez; as well as his greatgrandchildren Mason and Mack. He is also survived by his sisters Sia (Martin) and Riet as well as other relatives and friends. Private family services were held.
