Leroy C. Evans

LeRoy C. Evans, age 96 years of Delavan, WI. Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Lakeland Health Center in Elkhorn, WI.

Leroy was born on August 29, 1928 in Delavan, WI to the late Evan and Faye (Morrell) Evans. He was united in marriage to Lois Dorothy Linnemann on June 26, 1948 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delavan, WI. Together they had two daughters and celebrated just shy of 75 years in union.

LeRoy is survived by his daughters Gail (James) Grice and Cheryl (Mike) Sherman. He is also survived by grandchildren Shawn (Paul) Bauer, Jeremy (Katie) Compton, Theresa Compton, Clinton (Marie) Compton, Amanda Grice, Carolyn (Tom) Christensen, Adam (Kaylee) Grice, Nick (Jessica) Sherman, and Chad Sherman as well as eleven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Evan and Fay, wife Lois, his siblings Roy Evans and Violet Collier, son-in-law James Grice and great-grandson James Christensen. LeRoy was a self-employed electrician and blood donor for many years. He and Lois where active in their faith and a devoted members of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and School.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 10-11 a.m. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church (416 W Geneva St. Delavan, WI 53115); with funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in LeRoy’s Name to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church for either the School Fund or the Facility Fund.
