Linda L. Halsey

Linda L. Halsey 73, of Lake Geneva, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018 at her residence. Linda was born March 31, 1944 in Elkhorn, wi, the daughter of LeRoy and Maude (Schleiger) Stoflet, United in marriage to James C. Halsey October 22, 1986 in Las Vegas NV Member of the Como Community Church, Lake Como, WI. She graduated from Elkhorn High School in the Class of 1962 and was Valedictorian of her class. Foregoing a full scholarship to the University of Wisconsin Madison to raise a family. Linda had a great love of flowers and her flower gardens. She took immense pride in teaching her grandchildren about taking care of plants. Linda was very family dedicated, she also had a strong work ethic and a great love for golf. She was employed at the Town of Geneva Police Department for several years as office administrator, Retiring in 2009. Surviving is her husband James, Daughter, Shelly (James) Cronin of Beloit, WI, Step daughters Cheri (James) Warden, Yorkville, WI, Susan Halsey, Darien, WI, and Angela Halsey, Racine, WI. and a son Scott (Kelly) Simons of Elkhorn, WI. 16 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren. Sisters Donna (James) Newhouse, Grove City, OH and Judy (Donald) Karstedt, Couer D' Alene, Idaho. Brothers, Bil1 (Judy) Stoflet, East Troy, WI. and Gerry Stoflet, Elkhorn, Wi. Preceded in death by her parents, 3 Sisters, 6 Brothers and Grandson Nicholas Simons. Celebration of Linda's life will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday April 14, 2018 at the Como Community Church, Lake Como, Wi. with Pastor Bob Kamps officiating. Family will greet Friends at the church from 10:00 A. M. to time of Services.
