Linn M. Ferguson, 79, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026, in Naples, Florida. Born on April
10, 1947 and raised in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, Linn lived a life full of love, laughter, and
dedication to his family and friends.
Linn graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater and began his professional
journey in IT. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish his own small business representing
various clothing lines. Later in his career, he found his true calling as a Financial Planner, where
he took great pride in helping others secure their financial futures. His career path brought him
and his family to several states, including Ohio, Michigan, and Minnesota, but Southeastern
Wisconsin always held a special place in his heart.
Linn was a devoted husband to Marie (Cribben), with whom he shared nearly six decades of
love and partnership. Together, they created a life rich with cherished memories. They
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2017 with a trip alongside their children and
grandchildren, followed by a joyous celebration with loved ones. That same year, they moved
to Delafield, Wisconsin, where they continued to host family gatherings filled with laughter,
delicious meals, and unforgettable moments.
A proud father and grandfather, Linn is survived by his wife Marie; daughter Amie Broetzman
(Terry); son Scott Ferguson (Resa); and grandchildren Alec Broetzman (Zoe), Nate Broetzman
(Simone), and Shannon Broetzman. He is also survived by his sister Sandra Tonn (Duane) and
many beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends. Linn was preceded in death by his parents.
Linn’s passions extended far beyond his professional achievements. He loved spending time
with his family above all else and found joy in flying small airplanes, playing golf, fishing,
relaxing at the beach or lake, serving as a council member for Minnetonka Beach (MN) and
hosting gatherings at his home. He had a deep appreciation for travel and especially treasured
the winters he spent in Florida with Marie. Their many trips to St. Maarten were among their
most cherished adventures, where they basked in the sun and sea alongside dear friends.
Linn’s warmth and humor were unmatched. Known for his fun stories that could light up any
room with laughter, he had an extraordinary ability to make people feel welcome and loved.
Whether discussing food—one of his favorite topics—or sharing tales from his travels, or time
living on Lake Minnetonka (MN), Linn’s robust laugh was a constant source of joy for those
around him.
His furry companion Mocha held a special place in Linn’s heart as well. Together with Marie,
Linn created a home filled with love and hospitality where countless memories were made
during family celebrations such as Christmas dinners and graduation parties. Linn’s legacy is
one of kindness, dedication, and an unwavering love for those closest to him. He will be deeply
missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
May Linn’s memory bring comfort to those who loved him and serve as a reminder of the joy he
brought into the world. A viewing, followed by service, will be held from 10am - noon on June
13, 2026 at the Lazarczyk Family Funeral Homes, 515 Center Street, Lake Geneva, WI.
Luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to one of Linn’s favorite
charities; Tunnels to Towers Foundation or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
