Lois Dorothy Evans

Lois Dorothy (nee Linnemann) Evans, age 93, of Delavan, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, February 13, 2023, at Ridgestone Courts in Delavan, Wisconsin. Lois was born on June 1, 1929, in Palatine, Illinois, to the late Arthur and Dorothy (nee Pfingsten) Linnemann. She was united in marriage to LeRoy Charles Evans on June 26, 1948, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delavan, Wisconsin. Together they had two daughters and celebrated just shy of 75 years in union. Lois is survived by her loving husband, LeRoy and their daughters Gail (James) Grice and Cheryl (Mike) Sherman. She is also survived by her grandchildren Shawn (Paul) Bauer, Jeremy (Katie) Compton, Theresa Compton, Clinton (Marie) Compton, Amanda Grice, Carolyn (Tom) Christensen, Adam (Kaylee) Grice, Nick (Jessica) Sherman, and Chad Sherman as well as eleven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Lois was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Dorothy Linnemann, her two brothers and four sisters, son-in-law James Grice, and great-grandson James Christensen. Lois spent her life dedicated to her husband, supporting him in business and all other endeavors. She was active in her faith and a devoted member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and School. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, from 10-11 a.m. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church (416 W Geneva St. Delavan, WI 53115); funeral service at 11 a.m. officiated by Reverend Klug. Private family burial at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. All attendees are invited to a luncheon at the church Fellowship Hall following the burial.
